Championing People and Progress at MRDC

Vicky Morea, Human Resource and Administration Manager at MRDC, celebrates 24 years of service this year—a career that reflects her commitment to building the organisation’s people, systems, and culture. As one of MRDC’s longest-serving employees, Vicky’s journey mirrors the company’s transformation from a small team to a dynamic, growing management company.
Vicky joined MRDC in 2001, initially supporting the technical department. Over the years, she transitioned through a range of roles—from technical support to executive assistance, operations, administration, and ultimately human resources—each step contributing to the company’s evolving structure and capacity.
“Twenty years ago, we had about 30 staff. Today, we have over 140. Our leadership has evolved, our systems are modernizing, and our people are proving to be real assets. I’m proud to be part of that journey.”
In her current role, Vickey leads the HR and administration functions, overseeing recruitment, staff development, workplace culture, and organisational support. Her work is central to ensuring that MRDC’s workforce is equipped, engaged, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
“It’s been a fulfilling journey, and I take pride in contributing to MRDC’s vision and milestones. MRDC has provided me with stability, growth opportunities, and the chance to work with landowners and inspiring colleagues and leaders.”
Supported by MRDC, Vicky pursued further education, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Management (HR Management), which strengthened her ability to lead and shape the company’s human resource strategy.
She has seen MRDC’s investment portfolio grow toward the K12 billion mark and believes the next chapter will be defined by innovation and digital transformation.
“The next 50 years will be about innovation, digital transformation, and expanding our investment portfolio for landowners and beneficiaries. There’s so much potential—it’s exciting.”
Vicky expresses gratitude for the leadership and teams she has worked with over the years.
“It’s been an honour to be part of this legacy. For now, I’m committed to making whatever contribution I can until we hand over the reins to the young and vibrant to continue the journey.”
