MRDC through the PRG Board has undertaken a number of primary, community and high schools' double classrooms and staff houses constructions in the Gobe and Simberigi areas of Southern Highlands Provinces.

PRG CITF Funds Key Primary Education Infrastructure MRDC through the PRG Board has undertaken a number of primary, community and high schools’ double classrooms and staff houses constructions in the Gobe and Simberigi areas of Southern Highlands Provinces. Implementation of Community Infrastructure Trust Funds (CITF) projects are guided by guideline as set in accordance with the Oil and Gas Act, No 49 of 1998. The guideline as formulated by the Department of Client Services defines the process of implementing the CITF projects. Under the Act, 30%, of the dividends from royalties and equities from the oil, gas and mining projects and investments are put into the CITF Trust accounts. The Managing Director is the trustee of all funds under the trust including CITF.

Yanguli Community School – January 2019

Construction of a double classroom and a teacher’s house. Both have been completed.

Wemi Primary School – January 2019

2 x double classrooms and a teacher’s house. The classroom and teacher’s house have been completed.

Mororogo Primary School – January 2019

Construction of a double classroom and a teacher’s house. Both have been completed.

Kaiam Primary School – April 2018

The project includes the construction of 2 x Double Classrooms and 2 x Teacher’s houses. Work on the double classrooms have been completed. The two teacher’s houses are nearing completion.

The first of the two Teacher’s house which is 80% complete to date.

Baina Community School – January 2019

The project includes the construction of 2 x Double Classrooms and 2 x Teacher’s houses. Work is nearing completion.

Don Mosely High School – January 2019
