PRM CITF Programs
PRM CITF Funds Key Primary Education Infrastructure MRDC through the PRM Board has undertaken a number of primary, community and high schools’ double classrooms and staff houses constructions in the Homa and Paua areas of Southern Highlands Province. Implementation of Community Infrastructure Trust Funds (CITF) projects are guided by guideline as set in accordance with the Oil and Gas Act, No 49 of 1998. The guideline as formulated by the Department of Client Services defines the process of implementing the CITF projects. Under the Act, 30%, of the dividends from royalties and equities from the oil, gas and mining projects and investments are put into the CITF Trust accounts. The Managing Director is the trustee of all funds under the trust including CITF.
Paua Community Health Post – November 2013
The construction the Paua Community Health Post will serve a wide range of the Moran population. Nearby communities to benefit include Baguale, Yalenda, Beneria and Moran. The earthquake in 2018 caused damages to the building and is now under remedial works.
Staff Accommodation Building
The 4 staff houses were built through the CITF in 2014, the building suffered damages in the 2018 earthquake. MRDC is currently undertaking maintenance work.
