MRDC Lawyers Represent Papua New Guinea at 38th LAWASIA Conference

Two legal officers from the Mineral Resources Development Company (MRDC) were part of the national delegation representing Papua New Guinea at the 38th Law Association for Asia and the Pacific (LAWASIA) Conference, held recently in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The MRDC lawyers Jerome Sesega and Alphonse Ayako joined Mr. Hubert Namani, President of the Papua New Guinea Law Society, and Mr. Tauvasa Tanuvasa, Secretary of the Law Society, in representing the country’s legal fraternity at this prestigious international forum.

The LAWASIA is a distinguished regional body comprising legal professionals, judges, and legal institutions from over 40 jurisdictions, including Papua New Guinea, Australia, Japan, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada. The annual conference serves as a premier platform for legal dialogue, professional development, and cross-border collaboration.

MRDC Managing Director, Mr. Augustine Mano said MRDC was honored to support its legal officers in representing both the organisation and the country at this high-level event.
