The MRDC has now established its link on the ground between the PNGLNG project landowners through the appointment of Village Liaison officers (VLO’s). MRDC has engaged five new VLOS representing PDL area’s 1, 7, 8, and access road sites. This will enable the company to have access to information issues and happenings on the ground as well as to relay messages to the beneficiaries. The role of VLO’s is to maintain a good relation with the beneficiaries and the company. The five new VLO’s now join others already engaged in Kutubu, Moran, Gobe and Kikori areas.
