ICT Systems Administrator – Infrastructure
MRDC seeks to recruit an experienced ICT Systems Administrator – Infrastructure within its ICT Division.
Reporting to the Manager – ICT, the ICT Systems Administrator – Infrastructure will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and related hardware and software components. This role will be responsible for the smooth operation and security of the organization’s IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the company’s Systems and Network infrastructure, including LAN cabling, wireless networks, and network security devices (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems).
Effectively configure and maintain IP PABX telephone systems.
Provide support to all office network machines including wired and wireless projectors.
Implement, administer, and manage Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and related services.
Manage and support Microsoft Office 365 environment, administer and maintain virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere and Proxmox VE).
Schedule tests and debugging errors in computer systems and applications.
Monitors, detects, and eradicates computer viruses, malwares and spywares to safeguard and prevent any compromising computer network system performance and maintain data security.
Manage and support Sophos NGFW, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, LAN Cabling and UPS Systems.
Update and maintain Corporate External Website.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree (highly desirable) in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-8 years’ work experience preferably Microsoft Certified
Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or other relevant industry certifications.
Tech savvy of computer networks, server-based systems, network protocols and Wi-Fi.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Problem-solving and analytical skills are desirable.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry best practices.
